“Before we had the crate unfolding machine from Reintjes, we unfolded everything by hand,” says Frans Hennekes, assistant production manager and site manager at the PEKA Kroef plant in Venray. “That took a lot of time and manpower. Now we have a solution that speeds up and simplifies our work.”
The unfolding machine at the packaging site processes different types of crates daily without even a screwdriver or wrench. Everything is set up digitally and controlled automatically. This not only saves time, but also creates peace on the shop floor.
Easy to use for everyone
What stands out is the ease of use. “Whether you speak Polish, Slovenian or Dutch, everyone can get along,” says Hennekes. “The icons on the control panel help you along quickly. Error messages are also clearly registered and explained. For our operators, it really is a perfect machine.”
This is important because production at PEKA Kroef is running at full speed every day. Delays due to rebuilds or breakdowns are simply not an option. “We want to go on, on, on. And for that, we simply need Reintjes very badly.”
Innovating together: from problem to solution
The installation of a new production line in Venray also showed how valuable cooperation is. Roland van Heuvel, maintenance manager at PEKA Kroef: “We had a challenge with a new gripper mechanism that was damaging our crates. Together with Reintjes, we solved this by developing new grippers that fixed that problem.”
PEKA Kroef finds the cooperation very pleasant. “Reintjes actively thinks along, always looks for a ready-made solution and is open to innovation. That fits in seamlessly with our own way of working.”
