We have developed and realized a completely automated crate unfolding line for Vergeldt Vegetables BV. Thanks to this investment, the Tienrays cultivation company has further optimized its intralogistics food processing process, allowing the company to process its cultivated iceberg lettuce and leek even faster and fresher. And with this, Vergeldt Vegetables is also taking a big step towards the creation of a food processing chain that is good for people, planet and prosperity.

Specifications Fully Automatic Crate Unfolding Line:

The total solution for Vergeldt Vegetables consists of:

A universal depalletizer. With the help of this module, Vergeldt Vegetables can easily integrate various types of pallets - such as EURO, EuroPool and LPR - with stacks of folding crates into the crate unfolding line via a pallet truck or forklift. A crate rotating module. With this module, crates or boxes can be rotated 90 degrees and forwarded to the related module - the crate destacker and crate unfolder. A crate destacker and unfolder with an automatic ejection module. With the crate stacker, Vergeldt Vegetables can unstack various types of folding crates fully automatically and unfold them fully automatically with the crate unfolder. By integrating an automatic ejection module, crates that are defective, not fully unfolded and/or completely defective are ejected. A crate stacker. This module ensures that all unfolded folding crates are stacked correctly in the desired stacking numbers. A rotation module. With this solution, the unfolded folding crates can be rotated and transported in the same direction of rotation. A Universal palletizer. With this module, Vergeldt Vegetables can automatically provide various types of pallets with empty or filled stacks of folding crates. A Universal Pallet Destacker. With this module, various stacks of pallets can be automatically unstacked and fed to the universal palletizer. A pallet rotating module. This module enables the cultivation company to rotate various pallets 90 degrees and automatically forward them to subsequent systems, in this case the integrated pallet roller conveyors. Various pallet roller conveyors. This allows various pallets with stacks of empty or filled folding crates/boxes up to a weight of 1000 kg to be transported.

Vergeldt Vegetables BV was founded more than 35 years ago by the father of the Ton brothers, John and William Vergeldt from Tienray. Their father's hobby that got out of hand left a significant legacy, which later made the Vergeldt brothers decide to take over and continue the growth of the company. Now years later, Vergeldt Vegetables is known as one of the largest specialists in the field of iceberg lettuce and leek. They plant large numbers of annual leeks on an area of more than 90 hectares. The iceberg lettuce is grown on a plot of over 140 hectares. Both cultivation locations are located in a circle of 15 km around Tienray.
