A completely automated food processing line

Project MultiGrow Grashoek BV:

We have been able to develop and realize a complete food processing line for MultiGrow Grashoek. This allows the Limburg cucumber grower to automatically operate 3 food processing lines in order to process its millions of cucumbers even faster and fresher. An automation step with which the company is taking a major step towards the creation of a fully sustainable food processing process.

The complete food processing line is equipped with:

Two universal depalletizers. This allows MultiGrow to ergonomically integrate various pallets - such as EURO, EuroPool and LPR - with folded folding crates quickly and easily into the food processing line via a pallet truck or forklift. A crate destacker, crate unfolder and pneumatically driven crate destacker. This allows MultiGrow to fully automatically unstack, unfold and re-stack various types of folding crates. Zone controlled roller conveyors. This allows crates and/or boxes to be positioned correctly and controlled per zone. Two right-angled demounting systems. This allows MultiGrow to compactly deliver crates and/or boxes at right angles to a related transport system. Powered conveyor belt. This allows crates and/or boxes to be transported upwards to a related transport system.

About MultiGrow Grashoek BV:

MultiGrow Grashoek is located in Grashoek in Limburg and grows an average of around 17 million cucumbers per year on an area of approximately 6 hectares. Recently, the MultiFresa company also added strawberry cultivation, which takes place on an additional 3 hectares of land. The company does this in collaboration with growers' association Kompany, through which MultiGrow sells fruit and vegetables internationally in the Netherlands, Germany, England, France, the Czech Republic and Poland.
